Detroit-centric retailers Everything Detroit and Three Thirteen celebrate grand openings on “313 Day”

WHAT:

Two local retailers featuring Detroit-centric goods and services will celebrate their grand openings on “313 Day,” March 13.

Everything Detroit, in Grandmont Rosedale, is a branding studio and retail store featuring made-in-Detroit and Detroit-branded home goods, apparel and personal items from local makers. Everything Detroit owner Katrina Brown, also the founder of City Talk Magazine, has designed the business to reflect her mantra: Bringing Back Pride in Detroit.

Three Thirteen, on East Jefferson, is the latest venture of clothing designer Clement “Fame” Brown. The shop expresses the soul of Detroit through Brown’s own designs and some of the city’s hottest brands. The Grand Opening will feature author Shaka Senghor, Espy Thomas of Naturally Fly Detroit and radio personality DJBJ.

The owners of both businesses have been working with TechTown Detroit’s SWOT City program, a small business support program for brick-and-mortar enterprises in Detroit neighborhoods. SWOT City provides one-on-one assistance to help launch, stabilize and grow local businesses and strengthen neighborhood commercial districts.
