Do you want to make an impact on today’s healthcare challenges? Perhaps you want to put your innovative ideas to good use, or you want to witness what happens when people truly collaborate. The “Hacking Health” Hackathon event is unique in so many ways, it’s an opportunity to bring together IT and healthcare professionals from two different countries and multiple backgrounds to dream up and design apps for patient-centric care. We’ve come up with six ways you can get involved in this exciting event regardless of whether you’re a hacker or in healthcare.
Obviously the way to be in all the action and on the ground floor of innovation is to be a participant in the Hackathon. Whether you’re a developer, designer, healthcare professional, business mentor, or know you have something to contribute, you can find your place at the table.
#2 Submit a Challenge or Idea
The Hackathon is all about creating solutions and thinking about what patients need. If you have a healthcare industry challenge or idea for “hacking” be sure to submit it to Hacking Health for teams to tackle.
#3 Judge the Pitch Competition
On the final day of the event, participants will be pitching their ideas. If you’re an investor, Hacking Health would love to have your expertise. During the Demo Day pitch competition, you’ll hear about all of the amazing ideas that come from days of intense “hacking” and collaboration.
#4 Be a Sponsor or an Influencer
Hacking Health is hoping to bring a premier event to Detroit and Windsor, and sponsors would make that experience even better. Are you interested in helping support the enthusiasm of thinkers and doers? Help us in our journey to revolutionize the ways we think about healthcare.
#5 Extend Awards
Hacking Health wants its participants to know just how important their ideas are to the growth and development of the healthcare industry. If you can extend non-cash awards like workspace, incubation programs or spaces, program participation, we’d like to hear from you.
Finally, share this event and ones like it with anyone that might be interested. We’re taking on some big challenges and need all of the minds we can get. Hacking Health – Windsor Detroit is on Facebook and you can find out more about the events on our website.
