Vicki Sitron

Fund Development Officer

Biography

Vicki Sitron, a native Michigander, relocated back to Detroit after a decade in Washington, DC. She has a BA in psychology and an MSW in community organizing from the University of Michigan. As the Associate Gift Officer for Wayne State’s Office of Economic Development and TechTown, she works closely with funders and donors who share her passion for community building and philanthropy. Her previous work in the city was in fundraising at the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History and the Isaac Agree Downtown Synagogue.

In addition to the work that Vicki accomplishes for Fund Development, she volunteers to serve on committees like the former Data Working Group, participates on interview panels, and has contributed to brainstorming which holidays we acknowledge internally and externally. Outside of TechTown, she is an active member of the WSU Corporate and Foundation Relations team, has her Certificate in Fundraising Management, is a member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals, chairs the board of a small nonprofit called The Belt and is a founding member of the TechTown Aunties. If she had to survive on only one meal for the rest of her life, it would be a Leo’s Coney Island Greek salad.
