Your donation of any amount will help TechTown continue to remove barriers so that EVERYONE can get the support they deserve to start and grow a business that sustains their family and enriches our community. It will take years to build, but in the next six months, with your support we will:

• Coach 75 Detroit, Hamtramck, and Highland Park businesses to improve their operations, marketing and finances to survive the pandemic
• Pilot a coworking classroom to support parents who want a safe place for their children to learn while they grow their business
• Launch a customized accelerator for 50 Black women entrepreneurs
• Connect entrepreneurs with 500 one-on-one coaching sessions at Ask an Expert and Open Office Hours

Inaugural Marlowe Stoudamire Small Business Champion Salute Award | Pamela Lewis,  Detroit’s Innovative DNA is Everywhere

The inaugural Marlowe Stoudamire Small Business Champion Award is being given to the New Economy Initiative’s director, Pamela Lewis. Under her leadership, NEI marshalled resources to help thousands of businesses with rent relief, loan relief and grants in 2020. The consummate small business champion, this award isn’t just for Pamela, it’s shared among all of Detroit’s innovators and dreamers.

Prepare to be inspired by Detroiter Danielle Smith Parker, who is transforming Detroit Maid from a traditional cleaning service into a tech company with the support of TechTown. This superwoman has pivoted and grown her business in the midst of both personal challenges and national turmoil.

Salute Award | Mature Means Positivity, Style & Attractive Character 

Watch how Mature, founded by brothers Darryl and DeKoven Humes went from pop-up to permanent with the support of TechTown. Their vision includes Suited for the Future, an initiative that provides mentoring (and suits!) to outstanding Detroit graduates. Suited for the Future launched a year early in 2020.
