Join TechTown Detroit, Detroit Black Tech and the Hacker House to celebrate the hustle and hard work of Live.Innovate.Play’s student graduates at the program’s inaugural showcase.
Meet the founders of the 2026 Wayne State & TechTown Live Innovate Play House and experience what they built in Detroit.
Each founder will present a focused pitch deck and share the problem, product, and progress behind their startup.
Visit the startup tables, experience product demos, and connect directly with the founders building in Detroit.
Attendees will then have a chance to visit each startup’s booth and experience live demos. (Perhaps you’ll be one of their first customers!) And don’t miss the chance to cast your vote to help determine the winner of People’s Choice Award! Voting will take place live during the event.
$10,000 is up for grabs for 1st place, $5,000 for 2nd place, $2,500 for 3rd place and one People’s Choice Award winner, chosen BY YOU during the event, will receive $300!
Along with celebrating the remarkable achievements of these student-led startups, there will be ample opportunity to connect with like-minded individuals, entrepreneurs, investors and mentors during the open networking session.
