O Mês do Património Latinox/Hispânico reconhece e celebra as contribuições que os americanos provenientes (ou com antepassados) do México, das Caraíbas, de Espanha, da América Central e do Sul deram à sociedade e à cultura americanas e celebra as muitas heranças e culturas dos americanos.
Reconhecemos que os proprietários de empresas latinas/hispânicas contribuem significativamente para a economia empresarial nos Estados Unidos e Detroit é um centro de empresas abrangentes, diversificadas e bem-sucedidas pertencentes a pessoas latinas/hispânicas. De acordo com alguns especialistas, nos últimos anos, a comunidade latina/hispânica de Detroit registou um dos maiores crescimentos em termos de empreendimentos empresariais e criação de emprego, com um aumento de cerca de 34% no desenvolvimento de pequenas empresas.
Como parte do Mês do Património Latinox/Hispânico deste ano, queremos expressar o nosso apreço e reconhecer a presença de algumas empresas locais no sudoeste de Detroit.
