Le Mois du patrimoine latino-hispanique reconnaît et célèbre les contributions que les Américains originaires (ou ayant des ancêtres) du Mexique, des Caraïbes, de l'Espagne, de l'Amérique centrale et de l'Amérique du Sud ont apportées à la société et à la culture américaines, ainsi que les nombreux héritages et cultures des Américains.
Nous reconnaissons que les propriétaires d'entreprises latino-américaines contribuent de manière significative à l'économie entrepreneuriale des États-Unis, et Détroit est une plaque tournante d'entreprises très variées, diversifiées et prospères détenues par des personnes latino-américaines. Selon certains experts, au cours des dernières années, la communauté latino-américaine de Détroit a connu l'une des plus fortes croissances en matière d'entreprises et de création d'emplois, avec une augmentation d'environ 34 % du développement des petites entreprises.
Dans le cadre du Mois de l'héritage latino-hispanique de cette année, nous souhaitons exprimer notre appréciation et reconnaître la présence de quelques entreprises locales dans le sud-ouest de Détroit. Chacune d'entre elles est unique et apporte au quartier quelque chose qui enrichit la vie des habitants de la communauté. Chaque petite entreprise est importante !
