TechTown was founded to support Wayne State University’s tech startups and quickly evolved to include all types of small businesses and entrepreneurs in Detroit, to drive economic revitalization and create equitable opportunities for residents.
Twenty-five years later, we operate out of a five-story building that hosts coworking spaces, city-wide events, and local businesses integral to Detroit communities. TechTown partners closely with Wayne State’s Division of Entrepreneurship and Economic Development to spur business growth in Midtown and beyond.
