Alexandra Borngesser serves as the Director of Economic Development Fundraising at TechTown and Wayne State University. In this role, Alexandra leads efforts to secure public and private investments that empower TechTown Detroit and Wayne State University to enhance economic development initiatives.  

Alexandra brings a wealth of experience in fund development from her previous role as the director of grants and philanthropy for the City of Pontiac. In her previous role with the City of Pontiac, Alexandra played a pivotal role in establishing the Department of Grants & Philanthropy, transforming it into a key player in the city’s funding landscape. Alexandra’s extensive experience in operational excellence — demonstrated during her tenure at a Michigan-based environmental nonprofit and her instrumental role in a record-setting fundraising campaign for the Michigan Attorney General — uniquely positions her to drive economic development funding efforts at TechTown and Wayne State University.
