Marisa Hochstetler serves as the Program Manager for the Business Support and Engagement team at TechTown. In this role, she supports the strategic development and delivery of the organization’s business support programming. Marisa plays a pivotal role in designing and implementing the team’s educational programs, connecting entrepreneurs to resources, and tracking impact data to report impact to stakeholders and funders.
In her previous role, Marisa served as the Programs Director at BUILD Institute, where she led a wide range of entrepreneurship education programs for aspiring and established small business owners. She also brings a wealth of experience in economic development initiatives from prior roles at the Detroit Regional Chamber to support initiatives such as the Detroit Promise and Let’s Detroit.
Marisa is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan where she earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and German and her Master of Social Work, concentrating in policy, management, and leadership. Outside of TechTown, she also serves as a part-time faculty member at the Wayne State University School of Social Work and a figure skating coach with Figure Skating in Detroit.
