She spent nearly 20 years in the automotive industry and has experience in electrical engineering, employee and professional development management and global DEI. Taharah is a social impact business champion and has a passion for creating innovative solutions for equitable economic development.  

Taharah also has nonprofit leadership experience, previously serving as President and then Executive Director of an organization dedicated to the advancement, development and success of Arab American women professionals and entrepreneurs, with a focus on workforce development and small business development.  

Taharah has received several awards, including an MLive Women Who Shape the State award in 2023 and a 40 Under 40 award from the Arab America Foundation in 2022. She has also been a TEDxWomen speaker and was recently appointed to the Michigan State Board of Ethics. But above all, Taharah’s favorite title is mom to her smart and energetic two kids.
