Julius McDougal

Biography
Julius McDougal is the Controller for TechTown Detroit. He’s previously worked at a Big Six accounting firm, public companies, health management organizations, nonprofits and charter schools, serving as a senior staff accountant, manager, chief financial officer and senior director of finance and administration. He received a bachelor of science in accounting from Jackson State University and his master of business administration from the University of Detroit-Mercy.
Julius’ work experience goes beyond professional organizations. He played professional baseball for several Major League Baseball organizations, where he had stints on the 40-man roster with two of them. Julius was inducted into the JSU Baseball Hall of Fame.
Julius likes to spend time with his wife of more than 30 years and two adult children. He is actively involved in various activities at his church, and he likes to travel, read, exercise, watch sports and hang out with family and friends.
