FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Garage Talk features panel of family businesses at Detroit Cab Co.
TechTown Detroit is taking Garage Talk, its quarterly discussion series, to a REAL GARAGE! The topic is “The Family Business” and the event takes place on June 21 from 6-8 pm at Detroit Cab Company, 3245 Hubbard St., Detroit.
Moderated by Espy Thomas, co-owner of the much-loved Detroit family business Sweet Potato Sensations, the discussion will explore the rich history of family businesses in Detroit: How does a business get handed down? What happens if the next generation does not want to join the family business? Does a family business bring members closer together or could it cause dysfunction? As always, there will be hard questions and frank answers. We’ll take questions from the audience, too.
Panelists include:
Saleh & Bushra Mahmoud | (Husband/Wife), Detroit Cab Company
Lauren Rivers & Ronald Rivers | (Father/Daughter), Rivers Realty Group
Tony Lopez & Sonia Lopez | (Siblings), Lopez Tires & Tequila Cabresto
Admission is free and includes pizza and refreshments.
