MedHealth Summit 2020 seeks innovators to solve big healthcare problems

MedHealth is looking for the best minds of the medical device and digital health sectors in Southeast Michigan and Southwest Ontario to tackle hard-to-crack healthcare challenges. Those who are up to the task can apply now to participate in the third-annual MedHealth Summit, to be held on April 16, 2020, at the Hall of Legends in Ford Field.

Among other things, the summit facilitates customized matchmaking meetings for digital health and medical device companies. In 2019, more than 200 meetings were arranged with healthcare organizations, research institutions and investors such as Henry Ford Health System, Wayne State University, Invest Detroit Ventures and several others.

Companies interested in meeting with healthcare organizations, research institutions and investors to explore partnership opportunities are invited to apply to participate at http://medhealthinnovation.org/summit. Applications must be submitted by February 12.

The day-long event provides numerous engagement opportunities for participants, including one-on-one matchmaking sessions, panel discussions, exhibitions, presentations and informal networking opportunities.

“The MedHealth Summit supports the acceleration of healthcare innovation by educating attendees on industry trends, entrepreneurial resources and commercialization best practices while exposing potential purchasers and investors to new ideas,” said Paul Riser Jr., director of Detroit Urban Solutions at TechTown Detroit and leader of MedHealth. “This year’s summit will feature a variety of engaging educational topics, such as developing digital health and medical device innovations to serve population health.”

The MedHealth Summit is a project of MedHealth, a regional healthcare innovation cluster comprising numerous healthcare providers, universities and economic development organizations in Southeast Michigan and Southwest Ontario. The summit is sponsored by the Michigan Economic Development Corporation and Henry Ford Health System and is presented in partnership with Pure Michigan Business Connect. Additional summit support is provided by TechTown Detroit. For more information, visit http://medhealthinnovation.org/summit.
