FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TechTown offers free consultations with business experts
Ask an Expert is newest offering at Detroit’s entrepreneurship hub

TechTown Detroit announces the launch of Ask an Expert: free consultations for startups and small businesses with members of TechTown’s Professional Services Network (PSN). TechTown’s PSN is an extensive network of professionals from the metro Detroit business community who offer their expertise to help Detroit businesses develop, launch, stabilize and grow. Areas of expertise represented in the PSN include accounting and finance, architecture and design, legal, marketing, health care, venture capital and more.

The one-on-one appointments are free and take place at TechTown Detroit on varying dates. As the program expands, experts will also be available at neighborhood sites throughout the city. Ask an Expert is open to startups, emerging and established businesses in all fields—not just technology. Neighborhood retailers and lifestyle businesses, small manufacturers, consultants and home-based businesses and more are welcome.

“One of TechTown’s greatest strengths is our ability to match small businesses with the right resources at the right time,” said TechTown President and CEO Ned Staebler. “Now, we are leveraging our expansive Professional Services Network to help not just our clients but any Detroit-area startup or small business looking for subject-matter expertise. We see this as critical to our role as Detroit’s entrepreneurship hub.”

Upcoming appointments include:
• Advertising and marketing with Doner Advertising Agency
• Renewable energy integration and energy efficiency with IBM’s New Energy and Environment Global Industry
• Small business banking with Bank of America
