Ed Nisnevich
Facility Engineer
Biography
Ed moved to the Detroit area in 1992 and began working for the Wayne State Facilities, Planning and Management department. He continues to work for the university, and serves numerous other buildings in addition to TechTown. He joined our team in 2016 and ensures that all our systems work efficiently and reliably. Ed began his career working at a power plant in Vorkuta, Russia, north of the Arctic Circle, where he lived and worked for 18 years. There, he experienced one month spring, one month summer, one month fall–and nine months winter, with temperatures below -40 degrees Fahrenheit. His only complaint about Michigan winters is that they are too hot and unpredictable.
