Neighborhood Workshops: Understanding Accounting Edition

Join us for TechTown’s Neighborhood Workshop Series – a monthly workshop series on both sides of town for neighborhood business owners. TechTown Professional Services Network member Benjamin Cunningham of Benjamin Cunningham CPA LLC will facilitate an interactive workshop exploring the following small business accounting topics for existing business owners:
• Effectively using your Chart of Accounts
• Reading and interpreting your Income Statement, Balance Sheet and Statement of Cash Flows
Benjamin J. Cunningham has over 25 years of experience in Accounting, Business, Finance, and Tax Matters. Benjamin uses his blended skill set to provide individuals and business owners with complete coverage and peace of mind. He has been a Facilitator/Instructor with the SBDC since August 2001. SBDC Courses facilitated include Accounting for Small Business Owners, Taxes for Small Business owners, NXLevel, Fast Track, Know Your Numbers and Financial Management. In Oct. 2016, Benjamin became a Michigan Department of Transportation Trainer for Construction Accounting and Business Taxes.
Benjamin received his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Davenport University in 1988. Benjamin is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Valuation Analyst, and Certified Financial Planner.
The 2019 Neighborhood Workshop Series is conducted in partnership with members of TechTown’s Professional Services Network and is designed to provide immediately actionable advice from subject matter experts. These trainings are offered on both the Eastside and Westside monthly, in two different time slots (lunch and learns and evenings). Workshops are staggered to provide the opportunity to take the session at a time convenient for you, or attend it again for more information.
